While I was still in school I wrote a tool that I have used ever since. I got the idea from Simon, whom had written a similar tool. It’s a simple command-line tool that sits in the bottom-right corner of the screen and it’s called Cuterm.
The way it works is that you can type folder names, file names, URLs or user-defined commands and it will just run. So if you type an URL it will launch the default web browser and navigate to it. It also has a simple file browser built-in so if you can type a folder name and you can navigate from there to the file you were looking for.
It’s a really useful tool but it’s been ridden with bugs and weird side effects, so I decided to rewrite it in C++ (originally Delphi).

Even though it might seem I have all the time in the world now to play games that’s not really the case. I don’t really have the attention span to spend more than a few hours with a game at any given moment.
The big issue isn’t really that there are so many games coming out, but that they’re mostly must-have games.
I gathered up some of the boxes that is lying around but it’s only the tip of the ice berg.
Here are the games that is not present in the photo above or hasn’t come out yet:
- Mirror’s Edge
- Little Big Planet
- Left 4 Dead
- Warhammer Online (interest is cooling down)
- Wipeout HD
- DJ Max Sequel (PSP)
- Street fighter IV (early ‘09)
It’s been a long long time since my last blog post and a lot has happened. For one I am no longer working with Ksatria Gameworks. To anyone I haven’t personally told yet, this blog post is for you. I wish everyone at Ksatria the best, especially Cédric whom I’ve always admired, and hope to play the final version of Lone wolf soon!
As for now, I’m going to continue working on my visual novel maker while I look for other opportunities in the industry. I’m also going to see if I can re-ignite some of my artist aspirations. I haven’t drawn much in a good while and I couldn’t get any rustier.
Firmware 2.40 came out for the PS3 and with it the trophies system. Seeing I only own one game that supports it, patched in the same go, I thought I’d give it a whirl.
The game’s name is Super Stardust HD and it’s been available on PSN forever. I bought it mostly because I liked the old school music, but having to chug it through again for trophies made me realize what a great game it is.
One thing though that bugged me is that they made it so that some trophies (the most valuable ones) can only be earned if you buy the expansion pack. Bleh. Marketing at it’s finest.
Okay. Maybe not best ever, but it’s good. Really good if you’ve ever had a kitten yourself.
..a bit sad at times though ;o;
The first episode is a bit meh (this is episode 5) but it gets better and much cuter in the later episodes. As you can see.

Coming to an easter near you.

In the advent of Metal Gear Solid 4 I decided to do something that I’ve never done before. As I understood it at the time, MGS4 is awesome but if you know the story it will be even awesomer. I had MGS2 already, but I never got into it because I couldn’t really grasp the story so I ordered the MGS Essential collection and I played all three games back to back. I finished the third game the day before four dropped in my mailbox. From playing the first couple of hours I can already sense that it was a good idea.
