Back in the game!
February 23rd, 2007 by Erik Benerdal
Since my favourite gaming console of all time (PS2) is european (PAL) I’ve been unable to buy any games here in singapore. So naturally while I was home over xmas I bought a whole bunch of games and I was so stoked about getting some téte-à-téte between me and my PS2.
But as soon as I got back from Singapore I was told not to unpack anything because I had to move to my current appartment. Problem was the TV here is totally JACKED! If you turn it on the image is super stretched and it’s making an alarming noise like it’s about to explode or something. Luckily Daniel (who was moving out) had a TV I could buy for a cheap dollar so I did. Yet again my plans were foiled as that TV didn’t agree with my PS2’s PAL signal. Christ.
I’ve been talking to Michelle about buying her TV, but since I’m only going to use it for playing games I don’t want to pay too much. Especially considering I already bought a TV >>;
But! My worries are over. It turns out, while the TV here is very much jacked, if you leave it on for 10-15 minutes the image will slowly correct itself and you’re able to actually make out the picture. I just hooked up my PS2 and it worked fine. Played some Tekken just to be safe.
This is such a relief. Now I can finally finish Rule of Rose and Killer7 as well as get started on Disgaea 2. Ftw.
