I bought a DS Lite

Actually, I got it over a week ago. I know I’m pretty late. The original DS was released back in 2005, but I just couldn’t see myself buying it back then. I remember trying it in the store and it just looked too damn gay, Mario 64 didn’t do it for me because it gave me horrible flashbacks of the ol’ N64.
The new Lite model is a lot closer to what I would call “proper” design. In fact there’s nothing wrong with it’s design what-so-ever. It’s nice. It sits well in my hands and the backlighting is great. The DS had an awesome year 2006 and a lot of games came out that I could actually see myself playing, so this idea of buying one have been churning in my head for while now.
I got Age of Empires, it came with the system (for pennies), but I bought Castlevania: Portait of Ruin just in case because I already knew it was a good buy. A few days later I got the new Phoenix Wright game. I’ve been trying like crazy to get the original Phoenix wright game (not counting the GBA games) but it’s near impossible to find older games in this damn city.
Back home I rarely bought games on the day of their release. I knew if I waited a few months I could get it a lot cheaper. Well, unless it was a game I really couldn’t wait for. Most of my games I bought used and sometimes I would find some game that I had totally forgotten about. That’s not how it works here, apparently. Once the sequel is out, they chuck the original. Out with the old, in with the new. No bargain bins. No resale of used games. Ugh. Trauma Center is also impossible to find. I asked a clerk if they had it, and he called to every shop in the chain and they didn’t have it in. I was really looking forward to trying it too. Oh well..
PS. I included my PSP in the photo below just to show you guys that I’m no where near done with it. Tekken: Dark Resurrection is the best damn game I’ve played on any handheld ever, period. I’m neither a sony-fan or a nintendo fanboy. I just want to play some f-ing games. DS. (keke)
